Emilia Clarke Sex Scenes in Game of Thrones

OK nowhere near as interesting as the title makes out sorry! But Emilia Clarke talks about the Sex Scenes and nudity in Game of Thrones in the very short intreview with MTV.

I’d also suggest here we are starting to see some of the star quality in Emilia which makes me think we will see more of her in years to come, hmm I didn’t mean like that behave !

Introduction to Westeros Video

A background piece for Game of Thrones, containing already released footage and some interviews with George Martin, Sean Bean and David Weiss. It defintley reminded me of the appendixes of LOTR, if there taking this much trouble with these it looks very good for the show.

anyway enjoy

Game of Thrones to be shown on the 18th of April on Sky Atlantic

At last a  respected source gives us a respectable date. The gaurdian has confiirmed that game of thrones will be first shown  in the UK on the 18th of April one day after the US airings.

Sky Atlantic will begin broadcasting Game of Thrones, the fantasy drama based on George RR Martin’s novels, on 18 April – the day after its US premiere on HBO.

The drama focuses on the struggle for power between competing factions in the fictional Seven Kingdoms of the mythical continent of Westeros – a time and place “reminiscent of medieval Europe” – with a cast including Sean Bean, Lena Headey, Mark Addy, Aidan Gillen, Charles Dance and Iain Glen.

Game of Thrones is based on Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire novels, with four published and more in the pipeline.

It has been adapted for TV by David Benioff and DB Weiss. Benioff said no one had ever done fantasy “the HBO way, where the focus is on character and psychology rather than spectacle”.

Stuart Murphy, Sky Atlantic director of programmes, added: “We know our customers’ anticipation for the series has reached fever pitch, so we wanted to ensure they could see the show as close to its US broadcast as humanly possible. The series is a true spectacle that will surprise and captivate audiences, and it’s a huge testament to HBO’s bravura film-making that they continue to subvert the genres we know and love, this time in the fantasy genre.”

As we thought it was gouing tobe shortly after the americna date, but I am made up that its going to be within 24 hours  of the american date. No info on time as yet but I am sure that will come.

Anyway the source article and more comment to come

Emilia Clarke – Daenerys Targaryen – Game Of Thrones

Emilia Clarke - Daenerys Targaryen - Game of Thrones

In May 2010 HBO announced that Emilia Clarke would be playing ‘Daenerys Targaryen’ in HBO’s ‘Game of Thrones’ series, replacing Tazmin Merchant who had been cast in the Pilot.  This brougt a pretty wide response of Who as Emilia up unitl this point had no profile within the industry.

I am of the opinion that Emilia Clarke will become one of the more sort after and searched for names after Game of Thrones goes to air. This will be for a number of reasons

  1. Because of the role and the highley sexual nature of it.
  2. Because she is a beautiful woman and men tend ot be interested in beautriful women.
  3. Because she is currentley unkown and people will want to find out more
  4. And because I think she has a certain something called star quality which will see this series launch a major career.

However today I have an issue that there isn’t alot to write about her as she hasnt done that much work to date. her acting carrer currentley comprises of a one episode role in the TV series Doctors, and the role fo Savanah in the TV movie ’Triassic Attack’ neither of which have registered on my screens, and an part in a TV add about domestic violence.

So why am I so convinced we have a star in the making? Firstly she has come across excellently in all of promotional work which has done for the show. Two that she has been choosen to do the promotional work she has done suggests the stuidio think she is a star in the making. Three in the stills released she look gorgeouss. Four us men are suckers for a pretty girl.

As I find out more I will add more to this page but for now i will just leave it with some pictures, and the scant information I have.

Filmography

  • Triassic Attack – Savannah – 2010
  • Doctors – Saskia Mayer – 2009

The first installment of the monthly comic books — which are due to be illustrated by Tommy Paterson and adapted by Daniel Abraham — is expected out later this spring, unsuprisingly to time itself nicley with the HBO TV series release in April.

Dynamic Entertainment will issue the comic books at first and Bantam will later collect them in graphic-novel format. Here are some initial comic sketches for characters Jon Snow and Tyrion Lannister whihcwere published online recently. No information is currently available on UK availability of the Comics.

Margaret John – ‘Old Nan’ – Passes On

We had sad news today that Margaret John who played Old Nan in the forcoming series, died in hospital yesterday aged 84. Though we havent seen her in the show, profiled her, or talked about her or her role in show yet, we would like to honor her and her memory.

She was a prolific and well love acteress, who had already appeared in many shows including Gavin and Stancey, Doctors, Skins, Casaulty and High Hopes in recent years. Actually looking at her IMDB profile the list is prolilic and contains many of the shows I loved and grew up with including Dr. Who and Blakes Seven.

The intrenet is full of better artciles and great quotes her about her today, but from us a toast a prayer and the wish that you are in safe hands tonight. All the best Margaret.

Game of Throne’s Changes its Tune

Ok as far is concerned Maureen Ryan came upwithn this gem today, which has to be a bad piece of news,a s the composer for the score has changed, no details have emerged whetehr this sia chnage of composer or a complete chnage of score? But to loose you composer 10 weeks before air date can’t be good news, and there must be a story behind it.

‘Game of Thrones’ has parted ways with its Academy Award-winning composer, Stephen Warbeck. The much-anticipated HBO drama has hired a new composer, Ramin Djawadi.

Djawadi’s most notable television projects have been ‘FlashForward’ and ‘Prison Break,’ and in the film realm, Djawadi wrote the scores for ‘Iron Man’ and ‘Clash of the Titans.’ Djawadi, who has worked frequently with composer Hans Zimmer, is also credited with composing “additional music” for movies such as ‘Batman Begins,’ ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl’ and ‘Something’s Gotta Give.’

Djawadi will have to work fast: The fantasy drama premieres in just over 10 weeks, on April 17.’

Hopefully this wont have an impact on the quality of the show, but something must of been very wrong to rock the boat this soon before first airing.
