OK nowhere near as interesting as the title makes out sorry! But Emilia Clarke talks about the Sex Scenes and nudity in Game of Thrones in the very short intreview with MTV.

I’d also suggest here we are starting to see some of the star quality in Emilia which makes me think we will see more of her in years to come, hmm I didn’t mean like that behave !

In May 2010 HBO announced that Emilia Clarke would be playing ‘Daenerys Targaryen’ in HBO’s ‘Game of Thrones’ series, replacing Tazmin Merchant who had been cast in the Pilot.  This brougt a pretty wide response of Who as Emilia up unitl this point had no profile within the industry.

I am of the opinion that Emilia Clarke will become one of the more sort after and searched for names after Game of Thrones goes to air. This will be for a number of reasons

1. Because of the role and the highley sexual nature of it.
2. Because she is a beautiful woman and men tend ot be interested in beautriful women.
3. Because she is currentley unkown and people will want to find out more
4. And because I think she has a certain something called star quality which will see this series launch a major career.

However today I have an issue that there isn’t alot to write about her as she hasnt done that much work to date. her acting carrer currentley comprises of a one episode role in the TV series Doctors, and the role fo Savanah in the TV movie ’Triassic Attack’ neither of which have registered on my screens, and an part in a TV add about domestic violence.

So why am I so convinced we have a star in the making? Firstly she has come across excellently in all of promotional work which has done for the show. Two that she has been choosen to do the promotional work she has done suggests the stuidio think she is a star in the making. Three in the stills released she look gorgeouss. Four us men are suckers for a pretty girl.

As I find out more I will add more to this page but for now i will just leave it with some pictures, and the scant information I have.

In what struck me as a surprising and left field piece of casting, HBO announced veteran UK actor Charles Dance as Tywin Lannister yesterday.

Charles a fan of the books, has been the favourite within the production team for some months now, who approached him as he was filming for Your highness in the paint hall in Belfast

A very experienced Actor with a TV and Film career spanning over 36 years, he was a member of the Royal Shakespeare company for 5 years.  He is most renowned for his British TV work which includes The Jewel in the Crown, The Phantom of the Opera and Bleak house.

I always remember for his softer role in the Jewel in the Nile, but his wiki page starts with the line

Dance typically plays assertive bureaucrats or villains.

Which fits his chosen role and all stills I have seen of him recently show he acting in the harder style required for the role of Tywin Lannister

More casting news announced today is the not so suprising but much appluaded news that Aiden Gillen has been cast as Littlefinger. Aiden is came to fame for his lead role in  know for his role in TVs Queer as folk, but also well know for his work in ‘the wire’.

Also leaked by GRRM today is  that Jaime Sives has been signed on to play Jory Cassel, one of the more minor roles.

Whilst I have been taking a break things have been active in the pre oproduction stages of the Game of Thrones series. A number of new casting announcements have been made and the summary list is as follows

Some fascinating names, some exciting names and some relatively unknown names. Many will be happy to see Esme back as Ros, for what reason I will never know .
