This is the best show on TV right now, the plot is awesome and the character interactions are as good as if not better than The Wire.
The Dothrakie/khalesi/dragon plot line is just brilliant.
The cast are all immense, special mention for the Lanister brothers, you could do a whole show around those two on their own! Roll on series two!!
I do like Daenerys as one of the book’s most interesting characters, but I don’t like her appearance in the show. Why they didn’t make any better hair for her?

I agree Thrones has been the best series on TV for a long time. Since it aired in the UK, I’ve picked up the books and have not been able to put them down. This is kind of a shame, as now I know the future plotline and won’t be as surprised by the TV series. Still, I won’t miss a minute of Series 2, as I’m completely hooked. The series is so well written, characters so well acted, and produced on such an epic scale, it works much better as a TV series than it would in the theatres, and the quality is no less imo. The BBC is lucky this series and other HBO/Showtime series on Sky Atlantic don’t air on Freeview…Game of Thrones would blow their viewer ratings away, as would many of Sky Atlantic’s other series. BBC should actually learn from HBO/Showtime..all BBC seems to produce are hashed over costume dramas or disappointing, poorly written series like Merlin which are only fit for children. They provide little in terms of sophisticated dramas or creative tv series for adults, which is inexcusable given all the funds they draw from license fees. Can’t wait for Season 2 of Thrones!
