How exciting. I hope you’re right about Tamzin Merchant being recast. Dont see her as Daenerys – that forehead is just huge. You need someone icy beautiful with just a touch of crazy for that character. The other casting I agree with your comments – Mark Addy as Robert Baratheon. He’s too teddybear cuddly. Robert has gone to seed but should have more good looking presence eg Brian Dennehy.
Anyway. Cant wait. For the next book too please!
Yes we have more news on this, I need get my finger out of my bum and right some updates for the site. its been know for some time now that its going to be Emilia Clarke as Daenerys Targaryen.
Im holding judgement on Mark Addy, he may be able to add the element of latent danger to this role, if he pulls this off he goes up in my estimation as an actor.
Also can you ever see Mark ever pulling someone who looks like Lena Headey, he has about as much chance as I do
