Who is interested in Game of Thrones?
For a pilot this far out form completion interest levels for this show seem to be extrodinarily high at the moment,and it will be interesting to look at reason for this?
Obviously there are the fans of George RR Martins ‘A Song of Fire and Ice books’, who are making up the core fanbase and intererst for this project, however the cast has raised interest from cult TV fans for a number of shows and genres. Myself run a Sharpe website and am thus have had the exciting show brought to my attention via the career of Sean Bean, but we are also seeing interest coming in from Fans of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles created via Lena Headey involvement (not sure why anyone be interested in the career of such a pretty woman.) and the casting of Jason Momoa creating interest from Stargate fans.
Also I think the similar subject matter and Sean Beans role as Boromir will start to see numbers of classic Tolkien fans taking an interest in both the HBO series, and the books of George RR Martin.
I would be interested to see what gave you your interest in the pilot?
I hope HBO realizes that Sean Bean has a large and loyal fan following also very excited about his starring role in Game of Thrones.

Sean is my least favorite in the series, I really didn’t like his acting as Boromir…sorry…
NP Tanatie, I get what you say about Boromorir. Sean in Sean, and he is who he is. it workled very well for the Sharpe series, he has been hit and miss since.
One of the best HBO series in recent memory !!! I can’t wait for each new episode to come out. Excellent casting,set and costume work.
